I sat down one day with my friend Capska on a saturday and we decided to make neocities because we thought it would be fun. I personally use this as bit of training since in future i hope to code a personal site for my comic.

I have had minuscule experience with HTML before when i was really young. I am an Wikia/F*ndom alumni, back in early 2010’s thats where I coded from time to time. If it was possible, i always tried to become an admin :^) I look fondly on that time. With the funny admin priviledges you could play with the site’s CSS too. My issue is that I always took code from somewhere else and changed it as I needed so i never understood what made it actually work. By becoming an admin everywhere I had more access to CSS too…

This site is snapshitted in a similar way, you’re free to steal its code without credit for your own site. (if you know how!) I am not very emotionally connected to it. Its just words and code! Go make something nice with it. The epic Y2K looking sites are awesome but i wanted something sleeker for myself.

I love my puter, it helped me achieve so much things. I think neocities is the perfect place to show your love to the puter. While my age normally allows me to be a bit more nostalgic about personal sites and old internet, I have spent a good ammount of time on polish fan wikia sites instead. Good ol Lord of the Flies situation on there 🩷.

I mean, english internet is scary and my siblings checked what I was doing on the puter :/

I do miss the fear of the computer, what awful thing can I find today? Having to be vary everywhere. It was awful but its more stimulating than what we have now. Going throu neocities gives a similar feeling, but mostly of just being blasted with graphics. I wanna be properly offended once more…
